Rizumu has auburn-orange hair that reaches just above her waist and light brown eyes. She ties her hair into a long side-tail on her right side with a pink heart-shaped hair clip. The hair clip is normally replaced during Prism Shows.
In Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, Rizumu's hair has grown past her waist and she now ties her hair with a blue star-shaped hair clip.

- Rizumu is the only MARs member who existed in the original "Pretty Rhythm Miniskirt" game. Mion and Aira were introduced as new characters, and Serena and Kanon already existed with Rizumu.
- In the manga series, Rizumu was the main protagonist, with Serena and Kanon being her best friends instead of Aira and Mion.
- Rizumu's name is the Japanese rendition of the word, "Rhythm".
- Rizumu's name was originally translated as "Rhythm" in fansubs and online, but in fact, her name is spelled Rizumu, as shown on the tournament billboards where her name is romanized.
