"If You're Happy, Join Hands!" is the thirty-fourth episode of Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live.
Synopsis[]
Naru is chosen to perform at a charity event at Dear Crown for children alone. She must decide on her own how to make a happy Prism Show that the kids will enjoy. Right before Naru's performance, the children started crying because of the dark. Naru tells the children to join hands so they no longer become scared. During Naru's performance, Rinne appears on stage once again but this time both Naru and Rinne perform four consecutive duo jumps.
Summary[]
Rinne is seen feeding the family cat a dish of milk while greeting it good morning. A disheveled Naru looks frantically for her belongings, then asks for today's schedule. Her father remarks that she's bursting with energy today, which frenzies her even further. Just then, Rinne perfectly recites all the subjects scheduled for each school day while pointing Naru towards her belongings, which prompts Naru to remark that Rinne has settled comfortably into the Ayase household with ease.
On their way to school, Naru tells Rinne about her dream about the Prism World while unknowingly describing how Rinne first came to Earth in perfect detail. Naru then wonders how she could go to the Prism World, deciding to ask Momo later on. Just then, Rina and Ai are seen rushing, which prompts Naru to catch up to them. Rinne then flashbacks towards the time when she witnessed June's performance, where the latter showed Rinne her 'happiness'.
Over at Dear Crown, Natsuko informs June that her popularity has skyrocketed thanks to the success of her five consecutive jumps, with requests for more performances flooding in. June, however, states that she would rather have some time off, which prompts Hijiri to agree, as there will be many upcoming competitions soon. Despite this, Natsuko insists on having at least one concert, which is Dear Crown's children charity show. Hijiri decides to have Naru act as June's replacement after the latter suggests her name to him since she is capable of putting on a performance children would love. Hijiri also remarks that Naru's inner brillance resembled June's own when they first both met, which puts a wide smile on her face.
At the school's science laboratory, Naru is befuddled by a science experiment, and attempts to ask Ann for help; however, she is seen spacing out with a worried expression. When cornered, Ann immediately brushes it off as nothing. Rinne helps finish the experiment on her behalf, which results in a mass of glowing lights that envelops the entire laboratory. Later on, Bell is seen trying to contact a tired-looking Hiro, who is currently in his dressing room. He notices her message but does not reply due to his turn for a Prism Show coming up. Otoha and Wakana show up to inform Bell that class is starting soon, but as they leave, Bell overhears a few schoolmates talking about her close proximity to June's current level. Wakana remarks how everyone's expectations are starting to grow, but Bell states that she's merely frustrated on not making any progress towards emulating June's feats, to which Wakana states that she's proud of Bell's newfound maturity. As Wakana turns to leave, Bell stops her and asks if there's anything wrong with her at the moment. Wakana quickly declares there's nothing of that sort, although both Bell and Otoha are skeptical of her claim.
Back at Prism Stone, Naru and co. are doing their homework, with the former attempting to ask Rinne for assistance, only for the latter to insist that she ought to be responsible for her own homework, which causes Ito to laugh. Just then, Coo enters along with Natsuko, much to the group's surprise. Seeing her, Ito becomes a bit discomforted. Natsuko informs them about Dear Crown's upcoming children charity event and seeks to have Naru as its main star, which surprises her. Rinne then tells Naru that she wants to see her show.
At Edel Rose, Jin oversees a group of female students during a practice session, their movements in total sync. One of the girls trips and falls, and Jin throws a rose at her feet, saying it's a gift for her farewell performance he is kicking her out of the school. The girl pleads with Jin that she is trying her best, however he tells her that she's no use for Edel Rose if she can't become a winner and the girl runs out in tears. Jin tells the remaining students to continue the selection process, not knowing that Wakana, Bell and Otoha have been watching. Bell stares at Jin angrily.
Later that night, Naru is still trying to figure out how she could connect people's hearts at the charity show and asks Rinne for help. As the two girls work together, Naru's parents talk about how much happier Naru has become ever since Rinne moved in. When Naru wonders how to decorate the stage, Rinne says "prism sparkle", which then gives Naru a great idea.
The next day, people are gathered outside waiting to see the show. Naru works the crowd giving out candy to everyone, then sees Bell and her friends arrive. She's excited to have them see the performance, Wakana noticing a festival-like atmosphere to which Otoha says is "very fairytale". Naru explains that she wants the people to feel happy as she gives each of them a candy (coincidentally, with the image of each girl's respective Pair Friend on the wrapper). Bell stares at hers, wondering about happiness.
Inside, Ito and Ann comment about the simplicity of the stage, but Naru assures them that it will look great during the performance and Ann tells her she hopes the kids will be happy. Suddenly, Naru starts to panic as the stage belongs to Dear Crown so June might be coming to see her - she had forgotten to bring paper for an autograph. Chisato wonders about her carefree attitude, to which DJ Coo replies it wouldn't be Naru without it and Rinne smiles.
In the VIP suite, Natsuko hopes the glow of Prism Shows will reach the children's hearts. Hijiri adds that for many of them it's their first time seeing a Prism Show and also says that nothing would make him happier than to have people be inspired to try it themselves. June, lost in thought, agrees as Naru changes into her performance outfit.
At the side of the stage, one little girl is happy that she gets to see Naru up close. Then all of a sudden, the lights go out as Naru comes out, thanking everyone for coming. She hears the children crying. In the suite, Hijiri starts to panic, but June asks him if he believes in Naru's radiance. Back on stage, Naru is lost as to how to handle the situation, however she hears Rinne's voice telling her she's not alone. She runs to the side of the stage and tells two of the children that it's okay, asking them to take the hand of the person next to them. They sense a warm feeling, Naru telling them it's not so scary because they have friends surrounding them. She then tells everyone in the crowd to join hands, as Naru's friends do the same.
With everyone's hearts connected, Naru reveals her stage setting: hearts floating all around the venue. She then does her performance, seeing the colors of everyone's hearts through their smiles. The power of Naru's performance causes her friends' clothes to transform into their Seventh Coord outfits, and Rinne joins Naru to perform a duo Prism Live with upgrades to their guitars. They do a four jump chain together of Lovely and Star Splash, 100% Pure Pure Arrow, Stardust Shower, and a new duo jump Rainbow Arch Fantasy. June somehow ends up surrounded by rainbows as well as Rinne, Naru and the rest of the girls spinning around her. She starts to panic.
The audience responds enthusiastically to Naru and Rinne's performance, Hijiri amazed that they did a four-jump chain as a duo. Ann tells Ito that looking at Naru makes her worries go away and makes her happier, which Ito agrees with. Otoha is impressed with the jump chain, and Bell says that she might have come up with an idea after thinking about hearts coming together. Back in the suite, Hijiri remarks that hearts coming together creates a new kind of radiance and he wants to do something with it. June interrupts, saying that she wants to perform with someone else as well. Hijiri decides that the next tournament will feature duos.
That night in bed, Naru talks about how fun the event was and how great it was to see all the children smiling, to which Rinne replies "So happy". Naru adds that after performing with Rinne, she wants to make more people smile with her Prism Shows, saying that it would make her heart feel even happier too. Rinne cuddles up beside her, Naru asking her if she could promise to stay together forever, Rinne answering that promises are important. As the moon peeks out of the skylight in Naru's room, they both wish each other a good night.
